Mohd Hassan Faizee

Mohd Hassan Faizee is Professor of Practice in Water Diplomacy and Security at the United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH) and a Lecturer at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. He also advises the Geneva Water Hub and the Stockholm International Water Institute on water diplomacy, mediation, and conflict resolution across Asia and the Middle East.

Faizee has over eighteen years of experience in diplomacy and environmental governance and previously served as Afghanistan’s Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs. He holds senior advisory roles with international water governance institutions and founded the Network of Afghan and Iranian Water Scholars to promote regional cooperation.
